Chocolate Spider Pops
Tools and Products Used:
- Wilton Candy Melting Pot
- Wilton Bright White Candy Melts
- Wilton Brush Set
- C K Products Spider and Web Mold
- Wilton Silver Pearl Dust
- Disposable Pastry Bag
- 6 Inch Lollipop Sticks
Melt the Candy:
Start by melting a bag of Wilton Bright Whtie Candy Melts in a candy melting pot. If you do not have one, you can use a microwave using 30 second cycles. Stir well after each cycle until candy is fully melted and smooth.
Transfer the melted candy into a disposable pastry bag and snip off the tip. This makes filling the mold super easy.
Fill the Mold:
Fill in each cavity of the mold, being sure not to overfill it.
Give the mold a couple taps on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
Then insert the lollipop stick into each cavity.
Pop the mold into the fridge for about an hour or until hard and fully set.
Remove from the Mold:
To remove the lollipops from the mold, simply turn the mold upside down on a flat surface and give it a couple gentle taps. The lollipops should fall right out.
Add Some Sparkle:
Next, using some Wilton Silver Pearl Dust and a food safe brush, I just dry dusted some onto the lollipops.
This step is optional, but I love how the silver pearl dust brings out the detail of the lollipop!
Store your lollipops in an airtight container or wrap in a treat bag until ready to serve!
